Crystal Lake Studio Newborn Photographer // Tamara Jaros Photography
Looking for a Crystal Lake Studio Newborn Photographer? No problem! We have two different studio locations to choose from. The first one I want to introduce you to is located in Downtown Crystal Lake — I refer to this beautiful location as Studio A.
Studio A is setup inside an adorable 100 year old home that is located in Downtown Crystal Lake. On the main floor upon entering the studio, there’s a white-washed brick backdrop with dark hardwood floors and an amazing large window for natural light. Head up the cute little staircase and you come to my favorite tiny nook — with white flooring and a cute little window, this nook is perfect for photographing kiddos. Just past that is a boho styled bedroom setup with the most beautiful natural light. The boho styled bedroom is perfect for newborn sessions and photographing milestones.
Wondering if a studio session is the right fit for you?
There are several reasons why some parents choose to have their newborn photo session at a studio instead of their home. Each family has different preferences, but here are some common advantages associated with studio sessions:
Professional Environment: Photography studios are designed to create a professional and controlled environment. This ensures that the photographer has optimal lighting, props, and and backdrops to capture high-quality images. This allows for a wider variety of creative setups and unique shots.
Dedicated Space: Studios provide a dedicated space solely for the purpose of photography. This eliminates potential distractions and allows the photographer to focus on capturing the best moments without interruptions.
Consistency in Lighting: As a natural light newborn photographer, the studios I select to photograph at have amazing light for portrait sessions. This can be challenging to achieve in a home environment, where natural light, styling and room layouts may vary.
Comfort and Temperature Control: Studios can be temperature-controlled to ensure a comfortable environment for the baby. Newborns are sensitive to changes in temperature, and a studio provides a more controlled climate compared to outdoor or home settings.
Efficiency: Studios are designed for efficiency, allowing photographers to set up and transition between different setups quickly. This can be especially beneficial when working with newborns who may have limited patience for extended sessions.
Professional Expertise: Photographers who specialize in newborn photography often have experience working in studio settings. Their expertise in posing newborns, using props, and understanding lighting conditions can contribute to a smoother and more successful session.
Clean and Tidy Environment: Studios are maintained in a clean and tidy manner. This is important when working with newborns to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both the baby and the parents.
While studio sessions offer these advantages, it’s essential to consider personal preferences and circumstances. Some families may prefer the comfort and convenience of home sessions, especially if they want to capture a more natural atmosphere. Ultimately, the choice between a studio and home session depends on the specific needs and preferences of the family.
