I had the incredible privilege of attending the Bridal Event at Barrington’s White House this past January. When BWH reached out to me and asked if I’d like to have a table at their event and have the opportunity to meet so many wonderful couples I immediately began planning for the event! I just couldn’t wait to meet so many beautiful couples and hear their love stories and plans for their big day.
I wanted to bring EVERYTHING I owned to the event — It really was tricky to narrow down.. just because I have so many fun things I wanted to share and give to all the brides! After spending hours sitting on the floor in my home-office with everything piled around me, I narrowed down to the things I would have wanted to see as a bride at an event.
I brought with me: My iPad with past wedding galleries pulled up on the screen, my sample albums (and lots of them), one of my velvet usb cases with the beautiful rose gold & crystal USB inside, my printed logo sign and some large mounted photographs, TJP Investment Guides and business cards, stacks of the current Chicago Style Weddings Magazine, AND a sign-up sheet to be entered to win a complimentary engagement session and 11×14 canvas gallery wrap!
I arrived early the morning of the bridal event so that I could photograph all the pretty around the mansion. As I walked upstairs I found the ladies of BWH pouring champagne for the couples. As I got to the ballroom, there was an incredible ceremony setup upstairs that was done by the lovely ladies at Mayfield Flowers — which I was immediately drawn to to photograph.
There were beautiful tables setup with florals, table settings and stunning linens. I could just picture a romantic wedding at the BWH with all the details included around the mansion.
On the main floor is the Groom’s Suite which I thought was extra cool — not many venues have one of these. They had an amazing setup just for the guys with some great ideas on everything from ties, to florals to watches and groomsman gifts.
Needless to say, it was an incredible event and I can’t wait for next year’s!
