My Favorite Portrait Locations

Hello everyone! As promised, today I will be sharing my favorite portrait locations to shoot. I am in love with all of these venues and could not possibly choose a favorite, so these are presented in no particular order. If you missed my Monday post this week, take a peak to find out my favorite wedding venues!

Amy & Ian Crystal Lake EngagementVeteran Acres Park in Crystal Lake

I am a frequent visitor of this park, and it’s for good reason! The first being all the tall trees. They are incredible and it looks like a scene straight out of Colorado. Second, is the sunset. For some reason, the sunset at this park is especially gorgeous. It always seems to take my breath away. You can capture the most beautiful golden glow here.

This park is quite large, so there are lots of different places to take photos here. I love this park for everything from engagement sessions to family portraits and kiddos milestone photos. The arched walkway gets covered with flowers in the summer and it leaves me speechless.

Do you love barns and old houses? This might just be the venue for you! This location has on old white barn and a beautiful old brick house on the property. There are plenty of tall trees and grasses and even a dog park for those families that want their furry friend to join them for their portraits. The park is perfect in all seasons! I think my favorite is fall because the leaves start falling and they cover the beautiful walking paths with orange and red colors.
